Adding Mindjet Labs Search to Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

Published 20 March 07 03:28 PM | Michael S. Scherotter

I have been using Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 7 for the past few months and I really like the built-in search window in the upper right corner.  You can configure it to use your favorite search engines like Google or Live.com, or search specific sites like Twitter, Wikipedia, or Amazon.  But did you know that you can add the Mindjet Labs as one of the search providers?  Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Open Windows Internet Explorer 7.
  2. In the search bar (to the right of the address bar) click on the down arrow and select Find More Providers...
  3. In the Add Search Providers page, you will see three columns: Web Search, Topic Search, and Create Your Own
  4. In the Create Your Own column, put this text into the step 3: http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=TEST
  5. Put this text in the step 4: Mindjet Labs
  6. Press Install and then OK

You will now have Mindjet Labs as a search provider in your Internet Explorer and when you search, select Mindjet Labs in the drop-down list and you will see the results on the Mindjet Labs!

Pretty Cool!
