will this work with the OS X version?

Macros are only for the Windows Versions, so this macro will not work on the Mac. It might be possible for this to be written in AppleScripts for MindManager 6 Mac.

It's worth noting that this macro will fatal error MindManager if one attempts to create a boundary around both a parent and sibling topic. Possibly other combinations. Still fills a need I'd been looking for :-) Nice work!

Thanks for finding that bug. I fixed the macro and I will alert Mindjet product development to the crashing; bugs in macros should definitely not crash MindManager!

I have been trying to download this macro with no success. I have followed your directions, and I am still getting the yesy page. Am i missing a step:

What is a yesy page? Clicking on the Download link should prompt (after login and license agreement) a save file dialog. If it shows a page of text, then you should click on this link: http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/content/MacroContentType.reg and try again.

Wow, this is exactly what I've been looking for! I think that we were able to do this MM 2.0 and I really missed it. Unfortunately, the first time I ran it, it too crashed, but with two sibling branches selected. I just downloaded it today (11/13). Is this the updated version? Thanks, Wayne

Using Firefox, even after installing the .reg file and clearing Firefox cache, still only text downloaded. I switched to a Firefox IE tab and the macro file downloaded OK.

Useful, but could use a refinement - I'm creating influence maps for value-based selling account planning. Using an org chart I need to put a boundary or some other indicator around a number of department managers to show their link in a particular initiative - I don't want their subordinates included in the connection. It is purely for illustration to show others where the power base lies in a client account. Any ideas very welcome. Thanks.....Phil

Hi, It works great visually in the map, but when I export the map to MS Word the selected items drop out of the document. Is this the way it should work? Thanks, Douglas

Very helpful for for adding a boundary around subtopics within a topic. I'm still looking for a tool that will allow me to add a boundary around selected subtopics within multiple topics. Thanks, José

Could this be modified to allow selection off first level main topics only?

I have also tried to download and get a text page. I have tried the suggetion above, going to the http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/content/MacroContentType.reg link but the link didn't work for me, I got a 'webpage cannot be found' error. Your help would eb appreciated as this looks like a great tool. Russell

If attempts to download the macro result in a text (code) page instead of the download, try this... 1. Bring up the text (code) page. 2. SELECT ALL and COPY 3. In MindManager, open the Macro Editor (Shift+Alt+F11) 4. Make sure you are in a NEW Macro and PASTE the text (code). 5. Save the new Macro as "SelectiveBoundary.mmbas". Be sure to note the file path. 6. Close the Macro Editor. 7. Follow the instructions for adding macros: http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/content/AddingMacros.aspx. (Note: I chose the "Topic Context Menu" option under "Menu:" so the Selective Boundary option now appears in my right-click context menu. Hope this helps.
