I got this to work bi-directional from master to child and reverse! Perfect!

I unfortunately could only get this to work in one direction. That is changing the child would take on the parent (after refreshing), but changing the parent had no effect on the child. Makes it difficult to use the feature broadly.

Hi Synapse111, How did you get it to work bi-directionally. I can only get it to propogate information from the child map to the parent map? I agree with John Desjarias that a one way propogation is limited unless you stand on your head a bit. Chuck - chuck.untulis@gmail.com

In order to allow refreshing both ways, an hyperlink converted to Map Linker has to be created in both maps. Then you have to remember not to modify things on both maps at the same time, and to refresh the right one... Definitely not a seamless sync, but worthy if you follow a step by step process that let you work on one map at a time only.

Absolutely fantastic tool that should be included as standard in my opinion! Needs a few more configuration options though... here are my thoughts:- Would love to see the possibility of configuring the suppression of the warning dialog when refreshing topics. Gets a bit annoying when updating 30 or so maps consolidated into one global overview map! Going a step further, how about the option of automatically refreshing maps when opening? Also, for future development, the option of configuring two way updates within the "map linker options" would be great! Maps are locked when opened right? So there shouldn't be a problem regarding ericsmw's post... or am I wrong?

Still Confused. How did you get this to work bi directional??

It does not work bi-directionally. When you refresh the master map, the topics from all of the subordinate maps are pulled into the master map, replacing what is there.

Pretty nice. Is there some code available to see how it works in detail?

Can someone please simply make the "hyperlink to topics in this map" to be bi directional? i think this is more useful....

I am using the map linker and it is wonderful. But with MindManager Pro 7 I cannot use it. Exists some plan to port the Map Linker to the new version?

I'm with pegatron - where do I find this in MM Pro 7? The ribbon doesn't have the menu item to the tool.
