Create a web page with an embedded MindManager Map Viewer and map.

This requires MindManager X5 Pro or MindManager Pro 6.

Version 1.0.1

Installation
  • Download and Install MindManager Pro 6
  • Download and install the Save as MindManager Viewer Page
Usage
  • Start MindManager 6
  • Create or open a Map
  • Select File...Save As... and select Web Page with Embedded Map (html) as the file type.
  • When you open the page that was created in Internet Explorer, you will see the map in the viewer.
Limitiations

The web pages that this creates are viewable only in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.  They do not work on the Internet Explorer 7 Beta, Firefox, Opera, Safari.  This is a limitation of the ActiveX technology that the viewer is based on.

Revision History
  • 5/12/2006 Changed from .reg file to installer.  Added code to work better with MindManager Pro 6 SP1.
  • 5/1/2006 Updated InitialMap.mmap to work with SP1
  • 9/21/2005 Modified transform to work with MindManager 6.

This is a very powerful addin and I am disappointed to see taht it is not apparently compatible with MM7. Is there alternate functionality available somewhere or are there plans to update this solution soon? Thanks.

I am missing this function a lot in MM7. It is very usefull e.g. for distributing mindmaps in intranets. And it increases the willingness of buying mindmanager by getting acustomed to mindmaps. Are there plans to update it?

This is a truly excellent tool. I hope Mindjet has hired Michael in the meantime... Btw, it actually works in the final version of IE7!

I'm a bit confused - i see a mention of MM7 in this thread, and a comment that this feature actually works with IE7 - was that meant to be MM7, or really IE7 ?

I installed this and created an html output file on my local C:\ drive, but I cannot display the html file content in IE7 - it complains about requiring Active Content enabled, even though as far as I can tell I do have it enabled. What settings do I need for IE7 to open the file? Thanks.
